Charlie, a Senior Advisor with Davis Brody Bond Aedas, has over 30 years of experience providing real estate advisory services to developers, public agencies, community organizations, arts and cultural institutions, and colleges and universities. Based in New York City, he has worked throughout the United States and internationally.
Mr. Shorter’s expertise is in urban revitalization projects, strategic planning, market and financial analysis, developer solicitation/selection, economic impact studies, and management and organization analysis. His representative client base includes private clients as well as public agencies and municipalities. Charlie is the former Executive Director of Ernst & Young’s Public Private Transaction Advisory Services Group. He has developed master plan component analysis for mixed-use development in Newark, Central Harlem, NY, Southwest Washington, DC, East Orange, NJ, Waterbury, CT, White Plans, NY and Coney Island, NY. He also directed a residential project market analysis for The Abyssinian Development Corporation for development and rehabilitation of 30 Brownstones Homes in Central Harlem.
