Michal Sedlacek is the Director of Aedas Los Angeles. He was previously the Principal of MEIS Architects and practiced in Frank Gehry’s LA Office for eight years before joining MEIS in 2007. Michal was a Senior Associate at Gehry Partners, leading several large scale, internationally recognized projects such as Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem, Israel.
While at Gehry Partners, Michal worked on the Walt Disney Concert Hall, completed in 2000 for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and was the Lead Architect on REDCAT Theater, the multiuse black box space for theater, dance, film and music inside the Concert Hall. Other projects include the Lou Ruvo Alzheimer’s Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada and the InterActive Corp. offices in Hollywood, California and New York, New York. Michal has also worked in New York City and Moscow, Russia where he was responsible for various projects ranging from office towers to vacation resorts.
