HK Int'l Airport, Asia Airfreight Terminal 1 and 2
Hong Kong
In 1998, Aedas designed the 3-storey Asia Airfreight Terminal 1, which allows good to be transferred and processed efficiently between landside and airside. The functional requirements are satisfied by maximizing the landside frontage of the building for the loading and offloading of materials and arranging accommodation within to allow a simple, unobstructed through-flow to the processing areas. In 2003, Aedas was re-commissioned to design Terminal 2, a 117,500m² extension located on the South of the Terminal 1 which comprises 3-storey office building on top of a 3-storey truck park with an adjacent 4-story cargo processing area.
