Brian Johnson, Aedas’ Chairman of Europe,  joined the practice in 1983 and founded the Manchester office in 1986 where he helped to develop the firm’s notable education profile.

Brian serves as Design Director and has been instrumental in the development of the firm’s Design Quality Initiative which establishes best practices in design relating to quality, research and development, recruitment and sustainability. To complement this initiative Brian also sits on the RIBA Research and Development committee as well as serving as Governor for the Manchester Academy.
