Ed studied at the University of Hong Kong where he gained a distinction in Master of Architecture. He earned himself many awards in the architecture school, namely the HKIA Student Medal and the Certificate of Glory as the best M Arch Student in his year.

Ed has developed considerable design and project running expertise in both Hong Kong and PRC, upon a wide spectrum of projects including master layout design, office, hotel, residential housing, and is particularly experienced in commercial retails and mixed-use development. He is currently in charge of the Chengdu CE Plaza, a mixed use development in PRC, and the Chengdu ICC project. He is also working with several retail A&A projects and residential development at the same time.

Instead of regarding project as the application of a prior idea, Ed is interested in establishing an open dialogue with what exists, what is deficient, of seeing what can be related the sites data to, looking for common contents that make things agree with each other. His works are usually generated by resolving the plan and by superimposing plans.
