Shortlisted in two categories for Best Academy of 2011 and Schools Architect of the Year, Aedas were awarded commendations in both with Darwen Aldridge Community Academy singled out for a special mention. The glittering awards ceremony took place at The Blue Fin Building on the South bank of the River Thames where drinks and canapés were enjoyed from the luxury of a terrace offering spectacular views over London.  Guest Speaker Rod Aldridge, client for Darwen Aldridge Community Academy, won Sponsor Of The Year and inspired all with his talk about his personal experience of education and the importance of investment in education.
