Peter Oborn presented at the RIBA’s Research Symposium:  The Shrinking World, where he described the manner in which the firm has leveraged its sectoral expertise to help drive international expansion and how the creation of its Research & Development group has helped to drive innovation throughout the practice, enabling it to find new ways of problem solving and design.

Peter explained the manner in which the group is structured and funded and demonstrated how its work has been applied in practice, including in its innovative design for the Abu Dhabi Investment Council which involves the management of a seamless design and production workflow throughout a global supply chain.

The RIBA Research Symposium was held in London where leading speakers discussed a range of issues concerned with providing professional services internationally.
