Located in Damasus of Syria, The Lamp is a unique 37 storey tower, comprised of a 200+ key 5-star hotel and 21,500 sqm of A-Class office space located just 12 km from the city centre. It is designed by Boran Agoston, Director, Middle East. The eight sided tower addresses the surrounding vistas, thus becoming a spectacle from a series of vantage points, both from within and outside of the development. The faceted geometry of the tower allows for a series of unique viewing angles. The civic plaza and bridge designs were determined by placing a light source inside the concept geometry allowing the resulting light and shadows to radiate out, integrating the lamp concept into the landscape.
