West Kowloon Terminus Celebrates the Win of Three Prestigious Architectural Awards

25/11/2010

Aedas is pleased to announce that West Kowloon Terminus has won three prestigious awards in a row for its architectural excellence.

The project is the Winner of Tourism, Travel & Transport Future Category of Cityscape Awards for Architecture in the Emerging Markets and got Highly Commended in Commercial/Mixed Use Future Category. Shortly after the excitement, the project is granted as the Winner in Future Projects Infrastructure category of World Architecture Festival.

Designed by Andrew Bromberg, International Design Director / Executive Director of Aedas, the 430,000 square meters facility with fifteen tracks will be the largest below ground terminus station in the world.

The site’s prominence, immediately adjacent to the future West Kowloon Cultural District and next to Victoria Harbor, required a design which was completely motivated by civic demand.

Aedas takes the opportunity to thank the MTR Corporation for their vision to commission this design. We also thank the entire Client and Consultant team for the huge effort they are making to realize this design and vision
