Ping Jiang

Ping Jiang is Executive Director at Aedas Shanghai Office, leading the practice with a depth of knowledge in design and delivery of challenging architectural projects. With more than 17 years of experience, he has worked extensively in United States, Europe and Asia. His breadth of experience ensures success in meeting the client’s needs for design and scope as well as bringing value through design to all projects. His award-wining work includes large scale mixed-use developments, corporate/office, hotel, civic, institutional, retail and residential uses. His expertise on large scale urban development and tall building has contributed to some high profile projects around the globe, including the world’s tallest building. Prior to joining Aedas in 2011, Jiang was a Principal at MAD in Beijing.

Prior to his return to China, Jiang has been design leader for a number of international practices in United States. From 1998 to 2007, Jiang was a studio head and lead designer with SOM’s Chicago office. He also had worked as Design Director for NBBJ, and Principal with RTKL previously.

Jiang’s work has won numersous intenational design awards, including 2008 AIA Chicago Honor Award, 2007 AIA Dallas Chapter Design Award and 1997 RAIC Honor Roll.

Jiang’s studies include a Bachelor of Architecture from Tsinghua University in Beijing, and a Master in Architecture with distinction from Dalhousie University in Canada. He is a member of American Institue of Architect, with professional registration in Illinois.
