Sam is the Head of Parametric Modeling of Aedas and a core member of Aedas R&D Asia. Sam is specialized in parametric modeling, scripting, computation, interactive architecture, applied mathematics and BIM. Since graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2009, Sam has proven his skill in the modeling coordination and parametric applications in various large scale complex projects like the West Kowloon Terminus, HK Airport, etc.
Sam is well established in the research and academic in the China region. In the past years, Sam has been invited to various universities to lead research studio like in Beijing Tsinghua parametric workshop2011, Wuhan Workshop 2011, HKU summer workshop2011, Shanghai AA Summer Workshop 2010, ChangSha Workshop2010, HKIBIM conference2011, Wuhan conference2011, etc. This continuous involvement in the academic sector has allowed him to continuously update, improve and spot talents.
Sam’s enthusiasm in parametric modeling also sees the establishment of the Parametric Design Gathering in Aedas HK and Beijing Parametric Group in Beijing which create a platform for informal sharing of parametric experiences and problems in architecture projects. Meanwhile he also co-founded the Hong Kong Parametric Design Association which is an academic interest group.
