Xu Zi-Ping is an Executive Director of Aedas with more than a decade of professional architectural experience in both the PRC and Hong Kong. She is a passionate and bold designer with excellent design skills which she has refined in her special expertise of retail design.
Ping has been involved in various project typologies as project designer or leader - from large mixed-use developments, retail, office buildings, hotels, high-rise / low-rise residential complex, to cultural buildings such as schools, and libraries..etc. She specializes in handling complex mixed-use projects which integrate retail with commercial, hotel and residential programs.
Her strength lies in her ability to come up with the design that is cost efficient, and creates powerful architectural solutions that evoke emotion and spirit, adding value and satisfying the clients’ aspirations. She has won various design awards and International Design Competitions, such as the concept design of Gome Shopping Mall in Chongqing, PRC which won the finalist award of future commercial project in the 2009 World Architecture Festival (WAF).
Ping’s broad experience enabled her to bring valuable insights into her projects. She has a very good understanding of the existing design practises and regulations in PRC, and the skills to manage the coordination of work with the design institutes in PRC.
