Aedas Interiors conceptualise a design that incorporates natural and textural materials resulting in a minimalistic style that meets the client’s design brief. The second main concept for the lobby reflects Nanjing’s Qinghuai riverfront, where window patterns on buildings line the river, creating a rhythm which is echoed on the second floor mezzanine overlooking the main lobby. Guestrooms carry a muted colour palette, highlighted by black accents and dark woods with a simple silhouette design of the regional Qinghuai roofscape over the headboard.
