With 19 years of experience as an architect, Ignacio Gomez has led projects of various types, ranging from Master Planning, Hotel and Leisure, Residential, as well as Cultural and Transport Projects. Ignacio is a true believer in story-telling; through embedding fictional narratives in landscapes, he is able to produce work that at once moves, and floors us.

Ignacio’s remarkable grasp in clients’ expectations comes from the realization that, only through in-depth interaction with clients can the essence of each project be brought to life. When granted Architect of the Year in 2019 at the Design Middle East Awards, Ignacio has earned the reputation as one of the most prominent architect in the region.

As the Global Design Principal of Aedas, Ignacio has been deeply involved in the Middle East region for many years,  leading and supervising all project designs and execution in the area. Always finding the perfect balance between respecting local culture and incorporating international practices, he employs cutting-edge technology to break new grounds, rendering Aedas as a top architectural firm in the Middle East.

Ignacio is oriented by long-term goals, motivated to make enduring changes. He nurtures young architects, encourages them to cast aside preconceived notions and experiment. He invests his time in publishing books that would add value to Dubai’s cultural scene, as a way to bridge the gap between architecture and the general public.
