Business Development Manager, Interiors

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team of interior design experts. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing relationships with clients, and driving growth in projects and revenue.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy
• Implement business development strategy with a robust calendar of meetings with potential clients, key contacts, existing clients
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including clients, markets, and partnerships
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, as well as with industry partners and stakeholders
• Lead and manage the bid preparation process with inputs from design team including proposal writing, pricing strategy, and project team selection
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure that proposals highlight the firm's capabilities and expertise
• Bid data management in CRM/Salesforce
• Provide regular business development reporting and analysis to the executive team
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes, and adjust business development strategies as needed
• Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the firm
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
• At least 10 years of experience in business development within the interior design, architecture or creative industry
• Proven track record of success in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in proposal/bid preparation process
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
• Familiarity with interior design industry trends, regulations, and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and other relevant business development software
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
