Three Aedas Interiors projects win at Interior Design Excellence Awards 2020

The Interior Design Confederation of Singapore recognised 3 projects by Aedas Interiors at their annual "IDEA" (Interior Design Excellence Awards) 2020.

1. Dyson Malaysian Development Centre, Johor Bahru, Malaysia by Executive Principal Steven Shaw
– Silver, Best Workplace Design (larger than or equals to 5001 sqf)
Aedas Interiors created a Dyson 'campus' that embodies the company's brand identity while reflecting the company's other offices in Singapore and the UK. In particular, the main goal of the design was to create a central arrival experience which linked all the buildings together to facilitate movement across the site and improve interaction amongst colleagues. This new two-level structure connects two of the three existing buildings – forming a central heart to the Dyson campus. It houses visitor reception at the front of the site and staff reception at the rear which links to the staff car park. In addition, there is a Dyson café and Town Hall space, Dyson Canteen, gym, meeting rooms and other client-centric facilities.

2. Marsh & McLennan, Jakarta, Indonesia by Associate Director Eric Magno – Bronze, Best Workplace Design (2001-5000 sqf)
Aedas Interiors implemented an agile office environment for Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC). Designed with an open office plan with unassigned seats and no enclosed offices, the concept of the design is to showcase MMC's global brand through their strong corporate colours. Workstations have been upholstered with local Indonesian batik fabrics to cultivate a dynamic and vibrant work environment.

3. PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Jakarta, Indonesia by Executive Principal Steven Shaw – Bronze, Best Workplace Design (larger than or equals to 5001 sqf)
Ranked as one of the world's top tier accounting firms, Aedas Interiors has assisted PwC in changing the way their work culture and the firm's seasonal shifts in client-office remote working. The design team created a vertical campus where all floors have been linked to allow easy access to anyone, anywhere on campus. This is supported by digital maps that allow staff access to identity colleagues and available areas onsite to allow for greater flexibility within the workspace.

IDCS’ Design Excellence Awards (DEA) aims to be the platform to honour the Interior Design industry and its institutional landscapes with the highest accolades, not only in Singapore but also in the region. IDEA will promote and acknowledge individuals and firms that have contributed significantly in good design thinking and visualising the future of spatial design.
