Aedas entered an international design competition and was subsequently appointed as the Lead Design Architect to implement the Hangzhou Headquarters Office Park Development.Being located inside Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City, the office park development comprises of three major components: Headquarters Building, an Office Park and a Visitor Center.Being the Headquarters of a logistics giant, ‘Connectivity’ is one of the most important design considerations. The design of the headquarters building is inspired by space station and is sub-divided into four unique courtyards. Each courtyard features different themes and functions with commercial activities, alfresco-dining, product showcasing and staff amenities. The four courtyards are interconnected by a central atrium which creates a communal hub of the headquarters. The Visitor Centre adjacent to the Headquarters Building is nicely connected to the Headquarters yet with controllable segregation.The Office Park consists of a number of office towers and retail facilities. Retail are built under the office towers which allows an easy navigation to different areas and provides a porous connectivity of spaces.The office towers and open spaces are integrated to create a retail spine connecting East to the West. An elevated jogging track is woven through the whole campus, adding vibrancy and brining wonderful and relaxing experience to the staff and visitors.The overall façade design draws inspiration from the company logo, which creates a ‘Nest’ embracing the entire Headquarters Office Park Development.This Headquarters Office Park Development is set to be completed in 2024.
