Nansha Kingboard Plaza and Huanggang Port New Development have received Special Mentions in the 2022 Architizer A+ Awards for the Office - High Rise (16+ Floors) and Unbuilt Transportation categories respectively.

Nansha Kingboard Plaza, Guangzhou, China (by Global Design Principal Ken Wai and Executive Director Wei Li)

Located in Jiaomen, the central area of Nansha Free Trade Zone and a future transportation hubs in Nansha, Nansha Kingboard Plaza is a waterfront complex that integrates nature and architecture. Inspired by the forceful character of the mountains in South Guangdong, the volumes are stacked and rotated in sections, rendering an image of a classic ink painting scroll. The design breaks up the building mass to form a zigzag layout, maximising view and natural light intake. From incorporating a series of green terraces, decks and water features, the landscape design celebrates Nansha’s waterfront culture and provides abundant public green space for the residents. While providing high-quality live-work experience, the building demonstrates Lingnan’s unique character and stands as the landmark of the city.

Huanggang Port New Development, Shenzhen, China (by Chairman & Global Design Principal Keith Griffiths, Executive Director Chris Chen, and Executive Director Leon Liang; in collaboration with Shenzhen CAPOL International & Associates Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Transportation Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd.)

Situated in Shenzhen's Futian district, the Huanggang Port is a vital channel that connects Shenzhen, Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. The design transforms the port via a set of immigration and three-dimensional integrated transport hubs to facilitate effective inter-Greater Bay Area and cross-border connectivity. Inspired by the concept of ‘the cornerstone’, it is a symmetrical architectural form that sits on an elevated landscaped base. A series of green space, sunken plaza is instituted to connect Futian Port, New Huangang Port, and the central axis of Shenzhen-HK Cooperation Zone. Through the new design's seamless connectivity, the port will be a gateway to Shenzhen and fulfil the city's changing transportation requirements while granting the community greenery and public space.
