Two Aedas Interiors projects recognised at Interior Design Excellence Awards 2022

The Interior Design Confederation of Singapore recognised 2 projects by Aedas Interiors at their annual Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2022. ACEN is awarded Bronze and Hutchison 3 Indonesia is awarded Highly Commended under Best Workplace Design (≥5001 sqf) category.

ACEN, Manila, Philippines
The design was inspired by ACEN’s specialisation in wind and solar energy production and transmission of electricity. A large open stair connects all three levels with communal spaces of social, meeting and training spaces while the office areas are located on the opposite side to create a focused working environment. A multi-functional space for town hall events and investor updates is adjacent to the reception and client meeting spaces. Inspired by the wind turbines that ACEN uses to generate electricity, each group of three workstations are designed with customised lighting feature above to signify the turbine form. Meeting rooms and board rooms are equipped with flexible furniture and digital facilities that allow efficient communication.

Hutchison 3 Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia
The new office for Hutchison 3 Indonesia (H3i) was inspired by its brand core value of being “Always On, Always Connected”. The internal staircase in the centre has doubled up the communal space to accommodate more than 600 staffs, fostering communication and collaboration among teams. Efficient communication facilities including large LED screens are installed to provide advanced display to staff during meetings and events, while company promotional videos will be played during regular times to welcome clients. The open and flexible workspace layout enables interaction with vivid colours of fixtures and introduction of local culture, reflecting the brand core value. The spacious and contemporary office is designed to create a sense of belonging through injecting connectivity and vibrancy.

IDCS’ Design Excellence Awards (DEA) aims to be the platform to honour the Interior Design industry and its institutional landscapes with the highest accolades, not only in Singapore but also in the South-East Asia region. IDEA will promote and acknowledge individuals and firms that have contributed significantly in good design thinking and visualising the future of spatial design.
