HKIA Annual Awards 2012

Aedas won the merit award outside Hong Kong in the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) Annual Awards 2012 with its residential project 8 Napier in Singapore.

“Aedas is extremely proud that our international design is once again being recognised and awarded,” said Keith Griffiths, Chairman of Aedas. “At Aedas we believe that great design can only be delivered by people with a deep social and cultural understanding of the communities they are designing for. This is why our team was able to come up with and realise, in architectural expression, a new concept of apartment living by creating a city sanctuary in one of the most densely populated cities.”

Nestled in the green and lush environs of the prestigious Napier Road within close proximity to the Singapore Botanics Garden, 8 Napier, designed by Aedas, redefines apartment living in Asia. In line with the qualities that make Singapore renowned in the world as a ‘Garden City’ – light, air, space and greenery – the clean and modern architecture of 8 Napier strives for serene simplicity and elegance with a choice palette of tasteful materials, green designs and a unique spatial concept. Standing at 10-storey high and comprising a total of 46 units, 8 Napier offers a superlative standard in apartment living with an indistinguishable boundary of indoor and outdoor living.

The integration of art and landscaping into the architectural design also serves as a perfect canvas for the sumptuous common amenities including a 50-meter lap pool, a gym, a spa, a BBQ area and a function lounge. The soaring lobby garden lounge accentuates the exclusiveness of the residences each furnishes with a private lift lobby, and the extensive use of clear glass ensures maximum light and view for every unit on every level.
