At this year’s Arabian Property Awards, we are pleased to announce that Aedas-designed projects have been recognised, serving as a testament to our dedication to creating world-class design solutions that are tailored to the needs of cities and communities around the world. The awards celebrate the highest levels of achievements by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.

1. ENOC Future Mobility Station – Dubai Expo 2020, Dubai (designed by Global Design Principal Ignacio Gomez) – 5 Star, Best Retail Architecture, Dubai and Regional Nominee for Retail Architecture Arabia
ENOC Future Station is a Petrol Station of the Future located at the Dubai Expo 2020 Site. With sustainability as its primary goal, the project employs principles from bio-mimicry, designing and producing materials that are modelled on biological entities. The service station received the LEED platinum certification —world’s first station to receive such honor —validating its performance on metrics such as energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions, etc.

As a true pioneer in fuel retail, it is also the first station in the region to incorporate an on-grid wind turbine for power generation and carbon fibre in the construction of its canopy. An approach which traffics into the past as well as the future, the design nods at nature as well as local historical context, by taking the Ghaf Tree as the Canopy’s inspiration. As an endemic species, the Ghaf is a symbol of sustainability, linking the past to the present and providing a perfect basis for design of an innovative, futuristic and sustainable petrol station.

2. SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, Dubai (designed by Global Design Principal Ignacio Gomez) – 5 Star, Best Hotel Architecture, Dubai and Regional Nominee for Hotel Architecture Arabia
Townhouses in the sky in the 72 storey hospitality and residential tower comprising branded SLS Hotel and hotel apartments with up to 4 levels of underground parking, ground floor and 5 podium levels which will incorporate additional parking areas and include for retail commercial spaces. The tower includes proposed mix of deluxe hotel apartments comprising 2, 1 and 3 bedroom and duplex units and a 5-star SLS Hotel comprising approximately 250 keys.

The residential units exudes a cosmopolitan and refined aesthetic design. Set to offer a 180-degree urban views of the city, the corners and terraces adopt full-height glasses to bring in natural sunlight and facilitates ventilation. With high-end interiors and functional layout, the units are beautifully designed to meet diverse needs and lifestyles of citizens in Dubai.
