After the successful cooperation for Centre 66 in Wuxi, Aedas are once again commissioned by the Client to design, document and deliver a 6-storey shopping mall at Dalian, PRC – Olympia 66, which will be adjacent to the Olympic Square in Dalian.

The project brief calls for a response that is iconic and cultural in defining a city destination. The architects’ vision was to create a contemporary statement with an oriental overtone. The concept references twin carp, a typical symbol in Chinese New Year paintings synonymous with wealth and abundance.

The unique interplay of two swimming carp inspired forms contain a mobius loop circulation flowing through a continuous chain of retail and atrium activities creating an exciting and diverse lifestyle experience.
