In 2002, Aedas led the US$1 billion transformation of LANDMARK, reimagining it as a premier luxury retail and lifestyle destination. The refurbishment expanded the existing shopping atrium to Levels 3 and 4, introduced Harvey Nichols department store and converted the Edinburgh Tower into The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. The transformation also included the redevelopment of The Landmark East into York House, a contemporary 14-storey office tower. The design repositioned the main entrance to a new grand entrance on Queen’s Road Central, creating a large vehicular drop-off for the development. Aedas was the Master Planner, Retail Design Architect and Authorized Person whilst KPF was the Concept and Detail Design Architect for the Landmark elevations along Queen’s Road Central and mall Interiors. Aedas was also the Project Architect and Authorized Person whilst KPF is the Design Architect for York House.
In 2024, Aedas has been appointed by Hongkong Land as the architect to further transform LANDMARK into premium lifestyle destination, working on upgrades with the luxury brands, including Cartier, CHANEL, Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Saint Laurent, Sotheby’s, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels.
The transformation will redefine the future of luxury in Hong Kong, creating a creating a world-class lifestyle destination for global fashionistas, epicureans, and art devotees.
