Aedas’s Chongqing Lijia‑Yuelai Smart Park masterplan is shown as an aerial landscape integrating river corridors, mixed‑use development zones, ecological buffers, and distributed urban clusters. The image highlights blue‑green infrastructure, low‑rise to mid‑rise building massing, and large‑scale sustainable urban planning adapted to Chongqing’s mountainous riverine context.

Chongqing Lijia-Yuelai Smart Park

Chongqing / PRC

Located in Chongqing’s Liangjiang New Area, the Lijia-Yuelai Smart Park City covers a planned area of approximately 4,900 hectares. Situated adjacent to the Jialing River, it boasts a 30-kilometre continuous riverfront, where the river flows through mountains, forming a unique Chongqing terrace landscape. The integration of smart technologies and application scenarios is embedded within the natural landscape features, giving Lijia-Yuelai Smart Park City the strong feature of Chongqing’s “Smart Scenic Gateway”, a showcase of the city’s vision as a smart metropolis.

The design proposes four key strategies: “Smart Hub, Smart Living Quarters, Intelligent Road Network, and Low-Carbon Development.” These strategies integrate smart technology that will be applied to diverse urban scenarios to create fully immersive, city-wide smart experiences across living, working, tourism, leisure, and shopping. The plan also introduces three showcase transit lines that blend natural and cultural features with intelligent systems, forming vibrant, year-round, all-day urban places, and establishing a convenient, human-centred, and community-oriented smart lifestyle environment.
