Aedas’ Global Design Principal Christine Lam, one of the Program Advisors of the Hang Lung Young Architects Program, attended the launch ceremony of the programme on Saturday 14 October 2017.
Organised by Hang Lung Properties, the programme aims to foster an appreciation of architecture in Hong Kong. Over 300 secondary school students are invited to explore the city and learn more about its architecture and history. They will join an exciting series of lectures, workshops, guided tours and take part in a self-designed architectural tour competition to win a chance to attend an overseas architectural trip to Japan, Singapore and Shanghai.
“Architecture gives identity to a city and historic buildings are vital heritage. It is important for the young generation to understand and appreciate our city’s architectural scene and history,” said Christine. “Aedas is dedicated to nurture young architects and we are happy to contribute to this meaningful programme.”
Aedas is the Design and Project Architects of three Hang Lung’s properties in China, namely, Center 66 in Wuxi, Olympia 66 in Dalian and Heartland 66 in Wuhan.
