Christine Lam, Aedas Global Design Principal, welcomes Year 4 undergraduate architecture students from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) during their academic field trip to Hong Kong. As one of Indonesia’s leading universities, ITB visits Hong Kong to deepen students’ understanding of architectural education and professional practice in an international context.
During the session, Christine guides students through Aedas’ significant projects and design footprints in Hong Kong as well as cities across Asia. She shares project stories and design approaches to demonstrate how architecture responds to different cultural, social, and urban environments. These insights support students as they prepare to begin their final-year projects.
Christine also discusses the transition from academic study to professional practice and explains the evolving role of architects in a global industry. By drawing on her experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects, she encourages students to think critically about design, collaboration, and adaptability.
The visit reflects Aedas’ commitment to supporting architectural education and engaging with young talent. Through meaningful exchange with ITB students, Aedas continues to inspire the next generation of architects to approach design with creativity and innovation.
