Aedas recently welcomed a delegation of professors and students from the School of Architecture at Southeast University to our Singapore Office, an exchange that grew out of Aedas’ participation in the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council Meeting in Nanjing, China, where we joined Singapore’s Built Environment delegation.
Executive Director David Chim and Principals Liu Yin Sheng and Dr. Huo Ning hosted the group, sharing Aedas’ design philosophy and walking them through some of our key projects – The Star, our landmark naturally ventilated mixed-use development in Singapore, and Parqal in Manila, a vibrant destination that reimagines how people experience retail, leisure, and public spaces. Both projects offered a window into how Aedas approaches innovative design solutions, blending architecture, function, and placemaking & community.
3 of the graduating students presented their portfolios to the Aedas team. We were impressed by the quality and ambition of the work and took the time to offer our personal feedback and encouragement to each student – a meaningful moment of mentorship that we hope will stay with them as they start their architectural careers.
Thank you to the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) for facilitating this meaningful exchange. Visits like these play an important role in fostering bilateral talent development, professional networking, and internationalisation opportunities between Singapore and Jiangsu.
