Jakarta Metro

Jakarta / Indonesia

Aedas’ scope across the Jakarta Metro project encompassed Lebak Bulus Depot, Lebak Bulus Station, Fatmawati Station, and Cipete Raya Station. The alignment threads along the median strip and alongside heavily trafficked roads through some of the city’s densest urban contexts, transitioning between elevated and underground sections as it moves north toward the city centre.

The Aedas design team reviewed and optimised in coordination with Aecom and the ‘Tokyu-Wika Joint Operation’ (TWJO) Design with regard to engineering, designated code compliance, interfaces and the preparation of documentation to facilitate construction. Aedas successfully developed the design with consultation with all stakeholders over a 12 month period assisting the whole design team in enabling the commencement of construction early in 2015.

Jakarta MRT was officially opened in 2019 – marking a historic moment as the first MRT infrastructure ever built in Indonesia.
