Mei Foo Station serves as major interchange station for passengers transferring between the West Rail, Tung Chung and Tsuen Wan Lines. The Mei Foo Station is located below the existing Lai Chi Kok Bridge and connected by bridge and tunnel to the existing MTR station. It is known as the “station in the park”. It is an above ground station which has been covered over with a beautifully landscaped roof to provide a 22,575 sq m new park for the residents of Mei Foo Sun Chuen and the surrounding areas.
