美孚站既是一个地下车站,也是连接港铁西铁线、东涌线与荃湾线之主要换乘站。美孚站上方为荔枝角大桥,附设的天桥及隧道可直达此站。另外,此站位处地面,站顶被绿草如茵的园林包围,故又称“园中车站”。该新建的公园占地22,575平方米,为美孚新村及附近的居民提供休憩场所。
