Aedas was awarded 2 of the 4 total works packages for the Thomson-East Coast Line, accounting for approximately half the overall line scope. This encompassed Package C2102 comprising 3 underground stations in the north, and Package C2105 comprising 6 underground stations in the city centre and CBD, alongside the associated Mandai Rail and Bus Depot.
Package C2102 covers Woodlands North, Woodlands Interchange, and Woodlands South stations. Woodlands Interchange serves as a high-volume interchange with the existing elevated North-South Line, while Woodlands North was designed with provisions for a future interface with the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System link.
Package C2105 covers Outram Park Interchange, Maxwell, Shenton Way, Marina Bay Interchange, Marina South, and Gardens by the Bay stations, all situated within Singapore’s densest urban and CBD contexts. The station designs integrate sensitively with each location’s distinct character, with surface structures and entrances designed for minimal urban impact while maintaining a coherent MRT identity across the line.
