Aedas’ Eco Tower One in Ulaanbaatar is shown as a super‑tall, sculptural mixed‑use tower with a gently twisting, windmill‑inspired form rising prominently above the city. The image highlights a fluid glass curtain wall that expands toward the base, a luminous podium articulation, and a slender vertical silhouette engaging the surrounding urban grid and distant mountain landscape, establishing a powerful new skyline landmark for Mongolia’s capital.

Ulaanbaatar Eco Tower One

Ulaanbaatar / Mongolia

The Eco Tower One project is situated in the heart of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. With a height of 246.2 meters, the tower will stand as Mongolia’s tallest landmark, blending modern architectural excellence and cultural identity.

Ulaanbaatar lies at the center of the Mongolian Plateau, surrounded by majestic mountains. The tower’s design adopts a dynamic, windmill-inspired layout, emphasizing its centrality as a landmark while engaging in a visual dialogue with the city and the natural landscape. This balanced form not only maximises panoramic plateau views but also reinforces the tower’s iconic presence.

The streamlined silhouette of the tower has been carefully optimised through wind tunnel testing, enhancing structural stability and curtain wall performance against high-altitude wind pressures. The four-directional grooves formed by the windmill design create upward wind channels, improving overall natural ventilation and energy efficiency.

The tower contains a diverse mix of programs, including top-level luxury apartments, serviced apartments & five-star hotels, premium office spaces, and high-end retail space.

The gradually expanding form of the tower ensures optimal spatial dimensions for each function. Meanwhile, the curtain wall elegantly unfolds from top to bottom, its flowing curves reminiscent of the graceful movements of traditional Mongolian dance.
