KEY HIGHLIGHT
● 2 projects receive Outstanding Office Design (Future Project) and Outstanding Public and Community Design (Future Project), celebrating the design excellence of Aedas-designed projects.
Aedas receives 2 recognitions from World Architecture Festival China, the architecture event where keynote talks from the industry’s most influential figures sit alongside live presentations and judging, global networking, and an international product exhibition.
1. Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone N-01 and N-03 Plot – Shenzhen, PRC (Jointly-designed by Aedas Global Design Principal Leo Liu and Shenzhen Huayi) – Outstanding Office Design (Future Project) category
The N-01 and N-03 plots project in the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone is a transformative urban biophilic development that integrates technological innovation with the natural environment, promoting green ecology and fostering a healthy, environmentally-friendly park for researchers and staff. The design features a total of eight R&D and office buildings which are arranged in pairs. Ample visual corridors are preserved between the buildings, ensuring that the green corridor of the park can extend to the waterfront park.
2. Learning Resource Centre of Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) No.2 Campus – Zhuhai, PRC (Jointly-designed by Aedas – Global Design Principal Dr. Andy Wen and Executive Director Zihuan Lin, and Guangdong Desheng (G.D.) Architectural Design & Research Institute) – Outstanding Public and Community Design (Future Project) category
The concept of the ‘intersection and flow of knowledge’ flows within the project, breaking away from the traditional library’s closed and singular architectural form. Open, interactive, and diverse spatial characteristics are used. The massing is optimised, transforming from a regular square shape into a rich façade language. The well-proportioned vertical fins present the imagery of book pages, providing a consistent visual rhythm and spiritual connotation both inside and out.
