With over 15 years of experience spanning Asia, Europe, and North America, Fay Zhou brings a global perspective as a Director at Aedas. She has worked closely with local and international clients to deliver award-winning architecture across large mixed-use urban developments, super high-rise towers, corporate headquarters and industrial parks, luxury hotels and resorts, urban planning, as well as educational, cultural and public facilities.
Fay’s academic training in both architecture and real estate development shapes a holistic approach to design, balancing design intent with the context, viability, and long-term value of every project. She takes on each commission as a unique opportunity for architectural storytelling, believing that exceptional designs emerge from close collaboration with clients and from genuine respect for the environmental, social, and cultural fabric of each community. Drawing on cross-cultural experience, she brings both breadth of vision and depth of place to her work, expressing the values and identity unique to each place.
As one of the design leaders in Aedas’s Shenzhen office, Fay leads the design and delivery of complex commissions across Asia. Her landmark projects include Ulaanbaatar Eco Tower One (Conrad Hotel), Shenzhen Construction Industry Ecological & Intelligent Valley HQ, Guangzhou Nansha Futures Industrial Park, Guangzhou Nansha Hengli Island Plot 12 Mixed-use Project, Chongqing CISDI Super High-rise Industrial Park, Shenzhen Bagualing Super High-rise Urban Renewal, Zhuhai Hengqin Science City Phase III, Shenzhen Airport Training Base, and Shenzhen Chuanbu Street Shanty Town Regeneration.
Fay holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from New York University. Actively engaged in academic and industry exchanges, she has served as a jury member for the Aedas Scholarship at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Shenzhen University.
